An international brand name and dynamic identity engineered to reach a global market

CMS were already trading in a dozen countries when they made the decision to rebrand. The acronym was lifeless and did not represent them as leaders in the field of automation maintenance. The new name needed to portray reliability and technical excellence, be available and also work in all major European languages.
Preparatory work for the naming exercise included a brand audit, value mapping, competitor analysis and brand positioning exercises. The final name, chosen from a shortlist, was checked and trademarked across Europe.

The brand mark was developed and documented in brand guidelines. The implementation, which includes international stationery, literature, signage and vehicle liveries, has created a unified international presence for the business.
